Playin’ With the Queen of Hearts…
a FREE and FUN baby shower game

Grab and deck of cards; pull out the all the hearts, including the queen of hearts. This should give you a total of 14 cards. If you need more, add cards from another suit; like diamonds.

Distribute the cards face-down, to each guest. Instruct guests to turn cards over at the same time. The guest holding the queen of hearts, gets a prize.

All other guests holding cards marked with hearts, should put their card  in a bowl. Before the end of the baby shower, mom-to-be, can draw a card from the bowl.  The guest that held that lucky card earlier, is the second prize winner. It’s such an easy and fun game idea.

Valentine Baby Shower Simple and Sweet

Baby shower candy, cupcakes, cakes, and desserts are the ideal treats for a Valentine Baby Shower Menu.

Make or purchase sugar cookie dough. Buy icing, frosting, or sprinkles, decorating.  Don’t be afraid to use blue, yellow, green, lavender, white, or other colors for boys and gender neutral parties.

Make heart-shaped cookies with a cookie cutter.  Use a drinking straw to make a hole in the top of each cookie.  Bake and frost cookies according to directions. Next, thread ribbon or string through each hole and tie into a cute, little bow.

Don’t forget, you can use a cookie cutter to shape baby shower foods; sandwiches, fruit, and frozen treats, are easy to do. If you’re serving red punch, make an ice mold into the shape of a heart (use a cake pan shaped into a heart). You can use mini-candy molds to make small ice cubes and chocolate goodie too.

Make a yummy batch of Carmel popcorn. Shape the popcorn into hearts by using a non-stick cooking/baking mold, or a cookie cutter. Drizzle with chocolate or pink icing. For added fun, put your heart creations on a candy sick, cover with cellophane, tie cellophane opening off with pink pipe-cleaners, or pretty ribbon.

You can use the the same pattern for baby shower paper crafts too. This is a quick and easy project: Fold a piece of paper in the pattern of an accordion, draw one-half of a heart onto folded paper, and cut it out.  When you open the paper you will have the perfect paper boarder to wrap around a vase, diaper cake, and more… so easy!
