Book Themed Baby Shower

Basic Supplies for this baby shower decoration idea:

Colored twine or string (white is fine too).
Construction paper cut to desired book cover size.
Old book pages or news paper pages to glue inside book cover.
Little clothes pins to hang your handmade books.
Embellishments: silk flowers, pacifiers, tiny baby socks, bibs… use them all, or just pick your favorite.

Assemble the little books, select a place to tie your strings, add your books and other decorations.

We actually had a bit of a different spin on the idea…

Assemble your books the same as above, but use blank paper for your pages. Hang the books, and ask guest to write a message, poem, advice, encouragement, or anything else they would like to share with mom-to-be. This makes a warm gift, and adorable nursery decor too!

Book Themed Baby Shower from Pottery Barn Kids

There are so many cool ideas used in this theme- I think it’s my new favorite overall, baby shower. Just a couple of the ideas from this tutorial, and you’re on your way to planning a beautiful shower.

Here’s a cute idea from kojodesigns.com: Use craft paper, construction paper, paper bags, gift bags, colorful gift wrap, or all the above to make a collection of book jackets/sleeves. Cover any hard-cover book with your craft paper and write your baby shower menu on the spine of each book cover.
